I'm thrilled to finally pull back the curtain and introduce myself as the heart and soul behind Happy Hands Messy Play Co. I'm Madi, and I'm absolutely over the moon to welcome you into our vibrant world of messy play enthusiasts!

My Roots in Early Childhood Education

My journey with children began as a spark that quickly grew into a blazing passion. Armed with a Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, I've spent the last seven years immersed in the colorful chaos of childcare. From bustling classrooms to managing an entire education center, I've worn many hats. For four incredible years, I even had the privilege of shaping future educators as a qualified trainer and assessor.

Motherhood: My Greatest Teacher

But my most profound education came from an unexpected source – motherhood. I'm the proud mama of two amazing kiddos, with my eldest, now seven, opening my eyes to the beautiful complexities of neurodiversity. Navigating the world of ADHD and Autism Level 2 alongside him has been a masterclass in patience, creativity, and unconditional love. It's pushed me to blend my professional knowledge with the hands-on experience of supporting a neurodiverse child.

The Birth of a Dream

Happy Hands Messy Play Co. sprouted from this rich soil of experience and passion. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies, I set out to create a treasure trove of resources that nurture creativity, holistic growth, and emotional well-being through the magic of play.

A Personal Plot Twist

Here's a little tidbit about me – at the ripe age of 30, I received my own ADHD diagnosis. Talk about a lightbulb moment! It's given me an even deeper appreciation for neurodiversity and fueled my passion for creating inclusive resources that celebrate all children, regardless of their unique challenges or superpowers.

When I'm not elbow-deep in sensory bins or dreaming up new business ideas, you'll find me sweating it out at the gym or soaking up the salty air at the beach. Oh, and I'm a total sucker for mini sausage dogs – our two furry friends, Chase and Pippa, keep our household in constant giggles.
